### sec.71 Appointment conditions and limit on powers
An authorised officer, other than the archivist, holds office on any conditions stated in—
the officer’s instrument of appointment; or
a signed notice given to the officer; or
a regulation.
The instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the authorised officer or a regulation may limit the officer’s powers.
In this section—
signed notice means a notice signed by the archivist.
(sec.71-ssec.1) An authorised officer, other than the archivist, holds office on any conditions stated in— the officer’s instrument of appointment; or a signed notice given to the officer; or a regulation.
(sec.71-ssec.2) The instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the authorised officer or a regulation may limit the officer’s powers.
(sec.71-ssec.3) In this section— signed notice means a notice signed by the archivist.
- (a) the officer’s instrument of appointment; or
- (b) a signed notice given to the officer; or
- (c) a regulation.
