### sec.56 Conduct of proceedings
The chairperson must preside at all meetings at which the chairperson is present.
If the chairperson is absent, the committee member chosen by the members present must preside.
At a committee meeting—
a quorum is 5 committee members; and
a question is decided by a majority of the votes of the members present and voting; and
each member present has a vote on each question to be decided and, if the votes are equal, the chairperson has a casting vote.
Unless otherwise prescribed by regulation, the committee may conduct proceedings, including meetings, as the committee considers appropriate.
(sec.56-ssec.1) The chairperson must preside at all meetings at which the chairperson is present.
