### sec.70 Appointment and qualifications
A local government may appoint any of the following persons as authorised persons for the local government and its area—
employees of the local government;
if another local government consents—employees of the other local government;
other persons under contract to the local government.
However, a local government may appoint a person as an authorised person only if the local government is satisfied the person is qualified for appointment because the person has the necessary expertise or experience to be an authorised person.
(sec.70-ssec.1) A local government may appoint any of the following persons as authorised persons for the local government and its area— employees of the local government; if another local government consents—employees of the other local government; other persons under contract to the local government.
