### sec.521 Proceedings for particular offences
This section applies in relation to an offence against former sections 279AF(2), 279AG(4) or 279AL(1) committed by a person before the commencement.
Without limiting the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 20 , a proceeding for the offence may be continued or started, and the person may be convicted of and punished for the offence, as if the Health Legislation Amendment Act (No. 2) 2025 , section 44 had not commenced.
Subsection (2) applies despite the Criminal Code , section 11 .
