### sec.52 Notification inviting inclusion in register
As soon as practicable after notifying the establishment of an environmental health event register for an environmental health event the chief executive must—
notify all persons the chief executive considers may have been exposed to a substance or thing because of the event; and
if satisfied a person may have been exposed to a substance or thing as a result of the event, offer the person the opportunity of having the person’s details included on the register.
Notification under subsection (1) (a) may be made in the way the chief executive considers appropriate, including, for example, by personal notification or by way of newspaper, radio or television.
(sec.52-ssec.1) As soon as practicable after notifying the establishment of an environmental health event register for an environmental health event the chief executive must— notify all persons the chief executive considers may have been exposed to a substance or thing because of the event; and if satisfied a person may have been exposed to a substance or thing as a result of the event, offer the person the opportunity of having the person’s details included on the register.
