### sec.451 Starting an appeal
An appeal may be started at—
the Magistrates Court nearest the place where the person lives or carries on business; or
a Magistrates Court at Brisbane.
The notice of appeal under the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999 must be filed with the registrar of the court within 28 days after—
if the person is given notice of the decision—the day the person is given the notice; or
if paragraph (a) does not apply—the day the person otherwise becomes aware of the forfeiture.
The court may, at any time, extend the time for filing the notice of appeal.
