### sec.441 Summary offences Subject to section 213I , a proceeding for an offence against this Act is to be taken in a summary way under the Justices Act 1886 . The proceeding must start within the later of the following periods to end— 1 year after the commission of the offence; 6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the commission of the offence. s 441 amd 2020 No. 31 s 31 (sec.441-ssec.1) Subject to section 213I , a proceeding for an offence against this Act is to be taken in a summary way under the Justices Act 1886 .
