### sec.401 Failure to answer questions or give information
A person of whom a requirement is made under section 399 (3) (g) must comply with the requirement, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Also, a person must not state anything the person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular—see section 423 (False or misleading statements).
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
It is a reasonable excuse for the person to fail to comply with the requirement that complying with the requirement might tend to incriminate the person.
