### sec.313F Chief executive may publish pollution notice
This section applies if the chief executive is satisfied—
the person responsible for a pollution event—
can not be identified; or
would not be able to comply with a direction given under section 313E ; or
a person has been given a direction under section 313E to publish a pollution notice in relation to a pollution event but the person—
has not published a pollution notice by the date stated in the direction; or
has otherwise not complied with the direction; or
the pollution event is, or is caused by, a naturally–occurring event.
The chief executive may, in relation to the pollution event, publish a pollution notice—
on the department’s website; and
in any other way the chief executive considers appropriate.

(sec.313F-ssec.1) This section applies if the chief executive is satisfied— the person responsible for a pollution event— can not be identified; or would not be able to comply with a direction given under section 313E ; or a person has been given a direction under section 313E to publish a pollution notice in relation to a pollution event but the person— has not published a pollution notice by the date stated in the direction; or has otherwise not complied with the direction; or the pollution event is, or is caused by, a naturally–occurring event.
(sec.313F-ssec.2) The chief executive may, in relation to the pollution event, publish a pollution notice— on the department’s website; and in any other way the chief executive considers appropriate.
- (a) the person responsible for a pollution event— (i) can not be identified; or (ii) would not be able to comply with a direction given under section 313E ; or
- (i) can not be identified; or
- (ii) would not be able to comply with a direction given under section 313E ; or
- (b) a person has been given a direction under section 313E to publish a pollution notice in relation to a pollution event but the person— (i) has not published a pollution notice by the date stated in the direction; or (ii) has otherwise not complied with the direction; or
- (i) has not published a pollution notice by the date stated in the direction; or
- (ii) has otherwise not complied with the direction; or
- (c) the pollution event is, or is caused by, a naturally–occurring event.
- (i) can not be identified; or
- (ii) would not be able to comply with a direction given under section 313E ; or
- (i) has not published a pollution notice by the date stated in the direction; or
- (ii) has otherwise not complied with the direction; or
- (a) on the department’s website; and
- (b) in any other way the chief executive considers appropriate.
