### sec.235 Directions to give notifications about cancer to contractor
If a person must, under a relevant provision, give a notification about cancer to the chief executive, the chief executive may give a written direction to the person to give the notification to the contractor in place of the chief executive.
A direction must state—
the name and address of the contractor; and
the day the direction is to take effect.
A person to whom a direction is given under subsection (1) must comply with the direction.
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
If, under a direction, a person gives a notification about cancer to the contractor and does not give it to the chief executive, the person does not contravene the relevant provision in relation to the notification.
The chief executive must monitor compliance with this section.
In this section—
relevant provision means section 234 (2) , 234A (2) , 234B (2) , 234C (2) or 234D (2) .
