### sec.188 Appointment
The person in charge of a health service facility may, by written instrument, appoint a doctor to be a designated medical officer.
However, a doctor may be appointed as a designated medical officer only if, in the opinion of the person in charge of the health service facility, the doctor has the necessary expertise or experience to be a designated medical officer.
(sec.188-ssec.1) The person in charge of a health service facility may, by written instrument, appoint a doctor to be a designated medical officer.
(sec.188-ssec.2) However, a doctor may be appointed as a designated medical officer only if, in the opinion of the person in charge of the health service facility, the doctor has the necessary expertise or experience to be a designated medical officer.
