### sec.27 Power of court if failure to cooperate under subpoena
This section applies if a person subpoenaed under section 26 attends before a Magistrates Court and without reasonable excuse—
refuses to take an oath; or
refuses to answer a question put to the person; or
fails to give an answer to the court’s satisfaction.
The court may treat the person’s refusal or failure as a contempt of court.
(sec.27-ssec.1) This section applies if a person subpoenaed under section 26 attends before a Magistrates Court and without reasonable excuse— refuses to take an oath; or refuses to answer a question put to the person; or fails to give an answer to the court’s satisfaction.
(sec.27-ssec.2) The court may treat the person’s refusal or failure as a contempt of court.
- (a) refuses to take an oath; or
- (b) refuses to answer a question put to the person; or
- (c) fails to give an answer to the court’s satisfaction.
