### sec.125 Guidelines for dealing with information obtained under this part
The public guardian may make a guideline for dealing with information obtained under this part.
The purpose of the guidelines is to ensure—
procedural fairness is afforded to a person about whom the information is obtained; and
only relevant information is used in assessing the person’s suitability to be appointed as a community visitor; and
decisions about the suitability of persons, based on the information, are made consistently.
If the public guardian makes a guideline under subsection (1) , the public guardian must give a copy of the guideline to—
a person seeking to be engaged by the public guardian as a community visitor; and
if a community visitor asks for a copy of the guideline—the community visitor.

(sec.125-ssec.1) The public guardian may make a guideline for dealing with information obtained under this part.
(sec.125-ssec.2) The purpose of the guidelines is to ensure— procedural fairness is afforded to a person about whom the information is obtained; and only relevant information is used in assessing the person’s suitability to be appointed as a community visitor; and decisions about the suitability of persons, based on the information, are made consistently.
(sec.125-ssec.3) If the public guardian makes a guideline under subsection (1) , the public guardian must give a copy of the guideline to— a person seeking to be engaged by the public guardian as a community visitor; and if a community visitor asks for a copy of the guideline—the community visitor.
