### sec.46 Eligibility for resident letting agent licence
An individual is eligible to obtain a resident letting agent licence for a building complex only if the individual—
is at least 18 years; and
has the educational or other qualifications approved by the chief executive for a resident letting agent licence.
The chief executive must publish the approved qualifications on the department’s website.
An individual is taken to satisfy the requirement mentioned in subsection (1) (b) if the chief executive is satisfied the individual—
has a comparable qualification to the qualification mentioned in subsection (1) (b) ; or
within 2 years before the day the individual’s application for a resident letting agent licence is received by the chief executive—
has been licensed as a resident letting agent or real estate agent; or
has been the holder of a comparable licence under PAMDA .
A corporation is eligible to obtain a resident letting agent licence only if a person in charge of the corporation’s business is a resident letting agent.

- (b) within 2 years before the day the individual’s application for a resident letting agent licence is received by the chief executive— (i) has been licensed as a resident letting agent or real estate agent; or (ii) has been the holder of a comparable licence under PAMDA .
