### sec.227 Power of court
A court may, in addition to any other penalty it may impose, order that a licensee’s licence or a real estate salesperson’s registration certificate be suspended for a stated period or cancelled if the licensee or real estate salesperson has been convicted of an offence against this Act.
If a court makes an order under subsection (1) , in relation to an individual, that a licence or registration certificate be cancelled, the court must also order that the person be disqualified, for the period stated in the order, from holding a licence or registration certificate.
The court may also order that a person convicted of an offence against this Act, who is not disqualified under subsection (2) in relation to the conviction, be disqualified from holding a licence or registration certificate under this Act for a stated period or permanently.
The court may make an order under subsection (1) or (3) —
on the chief executive’s application; or
on its own initiative.
If an order is made by a court under this section on the court’s own initiative, the court must cause a copy of the order to be given to the chief executive.
This section does not apply to an offence against section 202 (6) , 211 (1) or 219 (1) .

(sec.227-ssec.6) This section does not apply to an offence against section 202 (6) , 211 (1) or 219 (1) .
