### sec.58 Deposit of deed in registry
This section applies to a deed made under this division that is proposed to be deposited in a registry for the purpose of supporting another document lodged or deposited in the registry.
If the deed is made in counterparts, each counterpart must be deposited in the registry for the purpose.
If the deed or a counterpart of the deed is in the form of an electronic document, a printed copy of the deed or counterpart certified under subsection (4) must be deposited in the registry for the purpose.
For subsection (3) , the printed copy must be certified as a true copy of the original deed or counterpart—
on a page of the printed copy; and
by 1 of the following persons—
1 of the signatories;
a lawyer;
a justice;
a commissioner for declarations;
a notary public;
a trustee company under the Trustee Companies Act 1968 ;
a stockbroker.
In this section—
registry means—
the land registry; or
the water allocations register under the Water Act 2000 .
(sec.58-ssec.1) This section applies to a deed made under this division that is proposed to be deposited in a registry for the purpose of supporting another document lodged or deposited in the registry.
(sec.58-ssec.2) If the deed is made in counterparts, each counterpart must be deposited in the registry for the purpose.
(sec.58-ssec.3) If the deed or a counterpart of the deed is in the form of an electronic document, a printed copy of the deed or counterpart certified under subsection (4) must be deposited in the registry for the purpose.
(sec.58-ssec.4) For subsection (3) , the printed copy must be certified as a true copy of the original deed or counterpart— on a page of the printed copy; and by 1 of the following persons— 1 of the signatories; a lawyer; a justice; a commissioner for declarations; a notary public; a trustee company under the Trustee Companies Act 1968 ; a stockbroker.
(sec.58-ssec.5) In this section— registry means— the land registry; or the water allocations register under the Water Act 2000 .
- (a) on a page of the printed copy; and
- (b) by 1 of the following persons— (i) 1 of the signatories; (ii) a lawyer; (iii) a justice; (iv) a commissioner for declarations; (v) a notary public; (vi) a trustee company under the Trustee Companies Act 1968 ; (vii) a stockbroker.
- (i) 1 of the signatories;
