### sec.141 Payment of rent or other amount without notice of transfer of reversion This section applies in relation to a lease of land if— the lessor transfers the reversion of the lease to another person; and the lessee pays rent or another amount to the lessor, without actual notice of the transfer. The lessee is discharged from liability to pay the rent or other amount to the extent the rent or other amount has been paid under subsection (1) (b) . For subsection (1) (b) , and despite any other Act, the registration of the transfer of the reversion of the lease is not of itself actual notice to the lessee of the transfer. (sec.141-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to a lease of land if— the lessor transfers the reversion of the lease to another person; and the lessee pays rent or another amount to the lessor, without actual notice of the transfer. (sec.141-ssec.2) The lessee is discharged from liability to pay the rent or other amount to the extent the rent or other amount has been paid under subsection (1) (b) . (sec.141-ssec.3) For subsection (1) (b) , and despite any other Act, the registration of the transfer of the reversion of the lease is not of itself actual notice to the lessee of the transfer. - (a) the lessor transfers the reversion of the lease to another person; and - (b) the lessee pays rent or another amount to the lessor, without actual notice of the transfer.
