### sec.90 Criminal history reports
The chief executive may make inquiries about a person to help decide whether the person—
is suitable for appointment as a member of the board under section 82 (2) ; or
is suitable to act in the office of a member under section 88 (2) ; or
has a conviction for an offence mentioned in section 86 (1) (b) (v) .
Without limiting subsection (1) , the chief executive may ask the police commissioner for—
a report about the person’s criminal history; and
a brief description of the nature of the offence giving rise to a conviction mentioned in the person’s criminal history.
However, the chief executive may make a request under subsection (2) about a person only if the person has given the chief executive written consent for the request.
The police commissioner must comply with the request.
The duty imposed on the police commissioner applies only to information in the commissioner’s possession or to which the commissioner has access.
