### sec.48 Appointment and qualifications
The board may appoint a person as an investigator.
The person must be an individual who is not a board member.
However, the board may appoint a person as an investigator only if the board is satisfied the person is appropriately qualified.

(sec.48-ssec.1) The board may appoint a person as an investigator.
