### sec.18 Applying for renewal
A registered professional engineer may apply to the board for renewal of the professional engineer’s registration.
The application may only be made at least 1 month, but not more than 3 months, before the last day of the registration period (the expiry day ).
The application must be—
in the approved form; and
accompanied by each of the following—
the documents, identified in the approved form, the board reasonably requires to decide the application;
the annual registration fee.
Despite subsection (2) , the board may accept an application for renewal of registration made within 1 month before the expiry day if the board is satisfied it would be reasonable in all the circumstances to accept the application.
The approved form must provide for the inclusion of the applicant’s contact details as a registered professional engineer.
The registered professional engineer also must provide any other relevant information reasonably required by the board to decide the application.
