### sec.13 Time for commencement of prosecution
A prosecution for an offence against this Act may be instituted at any time within 12 months after the commission of the offence or within 12 months after the commission of the offence comes to the knowledge of the complainant, whichever is the later period.
In a proceeding for the purposes of this Act it shall not be necessary to prove the authority of any person to prosecute an offence against this Act unless evidence is given to the contrary.
