86 Adequate pain relief
(a) an attorney has made a decision that medical treatment be
withheld or withdrawn from the principal; and
(b) the principal is under the care of a health professional.
(2) The principal has a right to—
(a) receive relief from pain, suffering and discomfort to the
maximum extent that is reasonable in the circumstances; and
(b) the reasonable provision of food and water.
(3) In providing relief from pain, suffering and discomfort to the
principal, the health professional must give adequate consideration to
the principal’s account of the principal’s level of pain, suffering and
discomfort.
