### sec.86 Keep property separate
An attorney for a financial matter must keep the attorney’s property separate from the principal’s property.
Maximum penalty—300 penalty units.
Subsection (1) does not apply to—
property owned jointly by the principal and attorney; or
property acquired jointly by the principal and attorney in place of property owned jointly by the principal and attorney.
Subsection (1) does not affect another obligation imposed by law.

(sec.86-ssec.1) An attorney for a financial matter must keep the attorney’s property separate from the principal’s property. Maximum penalty—300 penalty units.
(sec.86-ssec.2) Subsection (1) does not apply to— property owned jointly by the principal and attorney; or property acquired jointly by the principal and attorney in place of property owned jointly by the principal and attorney.
(sec.86-ssec.3) Subsection (1) does not affect another obligation imposed by law.
