### sec.8.1 Resignation
Resignation from the service of an officer who holds a position on the basis of a contract that provides for the manner of the officer’s resignation must be effected in accordance with the contract.
An officer, other than one referred to in subsection (1) , may resign from the service at any time in the manner prescribed by the regulations.
(sec.8.1-ssec.1) Resignation from the service of an officer who holds a position on the basis of a contract that provides for the manner of the officer’s resignation must be effected in accordance with the contract.
(sec.8.1-ssec.2) An officer, other than one referred to in subsection (1) , may resign from the service at any time in the manner prescribed by the regulations.
