### sec.7.25 How disciplinary proceeding is started A prescribed officer may start a disciplinary proceeding under this division by giving the subject officer a notice (a disciplinary proceeding notice ) stating— particulars of the alleged ground for disciplinary action (the disciplinary charge ); and that the subject officer may, within a stated period of at least 28 days, give the prescribed officer a written submission and other materials to show why disciplinary action should not be taken in relation to the disciplinary charge.
