### sec.6.4 Officer relieved of powers and duties while stood down or suspended
While an officer remains stood down or suspended under section 6 .1—
the officer is relieved of the powers and duties of a constable at common law or under any Act or law; and
the officer is not bound by the oath or affirmation taken or made by the officer as prescribed by section 3 .3; and
the officer is not to be taken to have breached such oath or affirmation, or provisions of any Act or law relating thereto, or to be liable to disciplinary action under part 7 , by reason of the officer’s failure to exercise or perform the powers or duties required of the officer by such oath or affirmation.

- (a) the officer is relieved of the powers and duties of a constable at common law or under any Act or law; and
- (b) the officer is not bound by the oath or affirmation taken or made by the officer as prescribed by section 3 .3; and
- (c) the officer is not to be taken to have breached such oath or affirmation, or provisions of any Act or law relating thereto, or to be liable to disciplinary action under part 7 , by reason of the officer’s failure to exercise or perform the powers or duties required of the officer by such oath or affirmation.
