### sec.11.45 Application of division This division applies if— the commissioner referred a complaint about a police officer (the subject officer ) under section 7.10 on or after 30 October 2019 but before 8 March 2023; and the referral mentioned in paragraph (a) was not properly made. For this division, a referral was not properly made if— the referral did not specify a particular prescribed officer as the entity to whom the referral was made; or the referral specified a particular prescribed officer as the entity to whom the referral was made but another officer purported to act as the prescribed officer; or the referral did not specify a particular prescribed officer by name and rank. A reference in subsection (1) to having referred a complaint about a police officer under section 7.10 includes a reference to purportedly having done so. s 11.45 ins 2023 No. 21 s 61 (sec.11.45-ssec.1) This division applies if— the commissioner referred a complaint about a police officer (the subject officer ) under section 7.10 on or after 30 October 2019 but before 8 March 2023; and the referral mentioned in paragraph (a) was not properly made.
