### sec.11.36 Protective security officer
This section applies if, immediately before the commencement, a person held an appointment under former section 7(1)(a) of the repealed Act as a protective security officer.
From the commencement, the person holds an appointment under section 5.19 as a protective services officer with the rank under section 5.20 of protective services officer.
The appointment under section 5.19 is—
on the same terms of appointment that applied to the person immediately before the commencement; and
for the remaining term of the appointment under former section 7(1)(a) of the repealed Act.
If the person took an oath under former section 13 of the repealed Act, the officer is taken to have taken and subscribed to an oath, relating to a protective services officer, under section 5.22.
A reference in an Act or other document to a protective security officer under the repealed Act may, if the context permits, be taken to be a reference to a protective services officer with the rank under section 5.20 of protective services officer.

(sec.11.36-ssec.1) This section applies if, immediately before the commencement, a person held an appointment under former section 7(1)(a) of the repealed Act as a protective security officer.
(sec.11.36-ssec.2) From the commencement, the person holds an appointment under section 5.19 as a protective services officer with the rank under section 5.20 of protective services officer.
(sec.11.36-ssec.3) The appointment under section 5.19 is— on the same terms of appointment that applied to the person immediately before the commencement; and for the remaining term of the appointment under former section 7(1)(a) of the repealed Act.
(sec.11.36-ssec.4) If the person took an oath under former section 13 of the repealed Act, the officer is taken to have taken and subscribed to an oath, relating to a protective services officer, under section 5.22.
(sec.11.36-ssec.5) A reference in an Act or other document to a protective security officer under the repealed Act may, if the context permits, be taken to be a reference to a protective services officer with the rank under section 5.20 of protective services officer.
- (a) on the same terms of appointment that applied to the person immediately before the commencement; and
- (b) for the remaining term of the appointment under former section 7(1)(a) of the repealed Act.
