### sec.10.2G Definitions for division
In this division—
approved agency means an entity established, or continued in existence, under the law of the Commonwealth or a State prescribed under a regulation as an approved agency.

approved information means information in a QPS database of a kind that is prescribed under a regulation.
condition includes prohibition or restriction.
criminal history , of a person—
means the person’s convictions in relation to offences committed in Queensland or elsewhere; and
includes information about—
offences of any kind alleged to have been committed, in Queensland or elsewhere, by the person; and
cautions administered to the person under the Youth Justice Act 1992 , part 2 , division 2 ; and
referrals of offences to the chief executive of the department in which the Youth Justice Act 1992 is administered for restorative justice processes under that Act.

end user means the following entities—
an approved agency;
a law enforcement agency;
a police force or service of the Commonwealth or another State.
head , of an entity, means—
for an approved agency or a law enforcement agency—the chief executive officer, however called, of the agency; or
for an IPSP—the chief executive officer of the IPSP; or
for a police force or service of the Commonwealth or another State—the commissioner of the police force or service; or
for Queensland Transport—the chief executive of Queensland Transport; or
for any other entity established under the law of the Commonwealth or a State—the chief executive officer of the entity.

IPSP means—
the ACC; or
an entity established under the law of the Commonwealth or a State prescribed under a regulation as an information processing service provider.

law enforcement agency means an entity established under the law of the Commonwealth or a State prescribed under a regulation as a law enforcement agency.
law enforcement purpose , in relation to the use of information by an approved agency or law enforcement agency, means a purpose for which the agency is authorised to use the information under a law of the Commonwealth or a State.
member , of an entity, includes a person employed or engaged by the entity.

policing purpose , in relation to the use of information by a police force or service of the Commonwealth or another State, means a purpose substantially similar to a purpose for which the Queensland Police Service is authorised to use the information under an Act.
use , in relation to information, includes the following—
disclose;
give;
give access to;
make available;
publish;
record.

- (a) means the person’s convictions in relation to offences committed in Queensland or elsewhere; and
- (b) includes information about— (i) offences of any kind alleged to have been committed, in Queensland or elsewhere, by the person; and (ii) cautions administered to the person under the Youth Justice Act 1992 , part 2 , division 2 ; and (iii) referrals of offences to the chief executive of the department in which the Youth Justice Act 1992 is administered for restorative justice processes under that Act.

- (a) an approved agency;

- (c) a police force or service of the Commonwealth or another State.
