### sec.857 Controlled activities
To remove any doubt, it is declared that a controlled activity that was purportedly authorised under section 190, as in force immediately before the commencement of the Cross-Border Law Enforcement Legislation Amendment Act 2005 , section 12 for an offence other than a serious indictable offence is and always has been as validly authorised as it would have been had the offence for which the controlled activity was authorised been a serious indictable offence.
Also, to remove any doubt, it is declared that anything done because of a purported authorisation of a controlled activity mentioned in subsection (1) that would have been lawfully done if the thing had been done under a validly authorised controlled activity in relation to a serious indictable offence is taken to have been lawfully done.
