### sec.795 Disposal of clothing of deceased person
This section applies in relation to the clothing of a deceased person if a police officer is present when the clothing is removed from the deceased person’s body.
If a police officer considers it would be inappropriate to give the clothing to a relative of the deceased person, for example, because it is damaged, soiled or stained, the police officer may dispose of the clothing, including by destroying it.
Clothing disposed of under subsection (2) is taken to have been forfeited to the State immediately before its disposal.

(sec.795-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to the clothing of a deceased person if a police officer is present when the clothing is removed from the deceased person’s body.
(sec.795-ssec.2) If a police officer considers it would be inappropriate to give the clothing to a relative of the deceased person, for example, because it is damaged, soiled or stained, the police officer may dispose of the clothing, including by destroying it.
(sec.795-ssec.3) Clothing disposed of under subsection (2) is taken to have been forfeited to the State immediately before its disposal.
