### sec.793 Helping at fire or hazardous materials emergency
It is the duty of a police officer who is present at a fire or hazardous materials emergency to give a fire officer who is performing functions and exercising powers under the Fire Services Act 1990 reasonably necessary help.
In this section—
fire officer has the meaning given by the Fire Services Act 1990 , schedule 2 .
hazardous materials emergency has the meaning given by the Fire Services Act 1990 , schedule 2 .

(sec.793-ssec.1) It is the duty of a police officer who is present at a fire or hazardous materials emergency to give a fire officer who is performing functions and exercising powers under the Fire Services Act 1990 reasonably necessary help.
