### sec.710 Destruction notice may be given to person
A police officer may give a person the police officer reasonably suspects has committed an offence in which drug matter is involved a written notice under this section ( destruction notice ).
A destruction notice given to a person whose name and location are known must be in the approved form.
However, if the person’s name and location are not known or the person can not be located, the destruction notice may be given by making the information required to be stated in the approved form available on the police service website to the extent the information is known.
A destruction notice given to a child under subsection (3) must not identify the child but must be given in a way that is enough for the child or the child’s lawyer to identify the notice as relating to the child and the offence of which the drug matter is evidence.
Also, a destruction notice given to a person under subsection (3) is taken to have been given to the person as soon as it may be viewed by a person using the internet, whether or not the person to whom the notice relates knows the notice has actually been made accessible.
