### sec.577 Complaint about noise
A person may make a complaint, including an anonymous complaint, to a police officer about noise emitted from a place.
As soon as practicable after the complaint is made, a police officer must investigate the complaint, or cause the complaint to be investigated, unless the officer believes the complaint is frivolous or vexatious.
However, this section does not stop a police officer taking action under this part without a complaint in relation to excessive noise emitted from a motor vehicle on a road or in a public place.
