### sec.500 Requirements for non-medical examination notice A non-medical examination notice— must require the person to report to a police officer at a stated police station or police establishment— within 7 days after the issue of the notice; or on a stated day or within stated hours within 7 days after the issue of the notice; to enable an authorised examiner to perform a non-medical examination on the person; and must state— it is an offence to fail to comply with the notice; and that, before the examination is performed, the person must produce to a police officer satisfactory evidence of identity; and must be given to the person— if section 499 (1) (a) applies, with the notice to appear or summons mentioned in section 377 (2) (b) ; or if section 499 (1) (b) applies, with the notice to appear or complaint and summons; and must be signed by the police officer giving the notice. s 500 ins 2003 No. 49 s 10 amd 2024 No. 24 s 57 s ch 1 pt 2 - (a) must require the person to report to a police officer at a stated police station or police establishment— (i) within 7 days after the issue of the notice; or (ii) on a stated day or within stated hours within 7 days after the issue of the notice; to enable an authorised examiner to perform a non-medical examination on the person; and - (i) within 7 days after the issue of the notice; or - (ii) on a stated day or within stated hours within 7 days after the issue of the notice; - (b) must state— (i) it is an offence to fail to comply with the notice; and (ii) that, before the examination is performed, the person must produce to a police officer satisfactory evidence of identity; and - (i) it is an offence to fail to comply with the notice; and - (ii) that, before the examination is performed, the person must produce to a police officer satisfactory evidence of identity; and - (c) must be given to the person— (i) if section 499 (1) (a) applies, with the notice to appear or summons mentioned in section 377 (2) (b) ; or (ii) if section 499 (1) (b) applies, with the notice to appear or complaint and summons; and - (i) if section 499 (1) (a) applies, with the notice to appear or summons mentioned in section 377 (2) (b) ; or - (ii) if section 499 (1) (b) applies, with the notice to appear or complaint and summons; and - (d) must be signed by the police officer giving the notice. - (i) within 7 days after the issue of the notice; or - (ii) on a stated day or within stated hours within 7 days after the issue of the notice; - (i) it is an offence to fail to comply with the notice; and - (ii) that, before the examination is performed, the person must produce to a police officer satisfactory evidence of identity; and - (i) if section 499 (1) (a) applies, with the notice to appear or summons mentioned in section 377 (2) (b) ; or - (ii) if section 499 (1) (b) applies, with the notice to appear or complaint and summons; and
