### sec.494 Limitation on use of results of DNA analysis
The use of the results of a DNA analysis under section 489 , 491 (4) , 492 or 493 is subject to—
any limitation made under section 454 (1) (g) that applies to that analysis; or
section 479 .
The results of a DNA analysis must not be compared with the results of another DNA analysis that is in a QDNA index unless a table prescribed under a regulation permits the comparison.
The table must not permit a comparison that is contrary to—
any limitation made under section 454 (1) (g) that applies to that analysis; or
section 479 .
A regulation may exempt a comparison of the results of DNA analyses from subsection (2) .
A regulation may prescribe the types of QDNA indexes and the type of information that may be included in each index.
