### sec.468 Taking identifying particulars—proceeding started by notice to appear or complaint and summons
This section applies if a police officer decides to start a proceeding against an adult for an identifying particulars offence by notice to appear or complaint and summons.
Within a reasonable time before, or immediately after, serving the notice to appear or complaint and summons, a police officer may detain the person for the time reasonably necessary to take or photograph all or any of the person’s identifying particulars and take or photograph those particulars.
