### sec.411 When does detention period start for offenders arrested outside Queensland
This section applies if, because of the Service and Execution of Process Act 1992 (Cwlth) , a person—
has been arrested in another State for an indictable offence committed in Queensland; or
has appeared before a magistrate in another State for an indictable offence committed in Queensland.
For this part, the detention period for the person starts—
if, under the law of the other State, a Queensland police officer may question the person in the other State—when the Queensland police officer starts to question the person for the offence; or
when the person arrives in Queensland in the company of a Queensland police officer for the purpose of being questioned for the offence.

- (a) has been arrested in another State for an indictable offence committed in Queensland; or
- (b) has appeared before a magistrate in another State for an indictable offence committed in Queensland.
- (a) if, under the law of the other State, a Queensland police officer may question the person in the other State—when the Queensland police officer starts to question the person for the offence; or
- (b) when the person arrives in Queensland in the company of a Queensland police officer for the purpose of being questioned for the offence.
