### sec.300 Indemnity for issuing agency and officers in relation to other evidence of assumed identities
This section applies if the chief executive officer of a law enforcement agency makes a request under section 294 or gives a direction under section 297 to the chief executive officer of an issuing agency.
The law enforcement agency must indemnify the issuing agency, or an officer of the agency, for any civil liability incurred by the agency or officer, including reasonable costs, if—
the liability is incurred because of something done by the agency or officer to comply with the request or direction in the course of duty; and
the requirements, if any, prescribed under a regulation have been met.

(sec.300-ssec.1) This section applies if the chief executive officer of a law enforcement agency makes a request under section 294 or gives a direction under section 297 to the chief executive officer of an issuing agency.
(sec.300-ssec.2) The law enforcement agency must indemnify the issuing agency, or an officer of the agency, for any civil liability incurred by the agency or officer, including reasonable costs, if— the liability is incurred because of something done by the agency or officer to comply with the request or direction in the course of duty; and the requirements, if any, prescribed under a regulation have been met.
