### sec.294 Request for evidence of assumed identity
This section applies if an authority authorises a request under this section.
The chief executive officer who grants the authority may ask the chief executive officer of an issuing agency stated in the authority to—
produce evidence of an assumed identity in accordance with the authority; and
give evidence of the assumed identity to the authorised person named in the authority.
The request must state a reasonable period for compliance with the request.
A request can not be made under this section for the creation of a birth certificate or a certified copy of a marriage certificate.
In this section—
evidence means evidence similar to that ordinarily produced or given by the issuing agency.

(sec.294-ssec.1) This section applies if an authority authorises a request under this section.
(sec.294-ssec.2) The chief executive officer who grants the authority may ask the chief executive officer of an issuing agency stated in the authority to— produce evidence of an assumed identity in accordance with the authority; and give evidence of the assumed identity to the authorised person named in the authority.
(sec.294-ssec.3) The request must state a reasonable period for compliance with the request.
(sec.294-ssec.4) A request can not be made under this section for the creation of a birth certificate or a certified copy of a marriage certificate.
(sec.294-ssec.5) In this section— evidence means evidence similar to that ordinarily produced or given by the issuing agency.
- (a) produce evidence of an assumed identity in accordance with the authority; and
- (b) give evidence of the assumed identity to the authorised person named in the authority.
