### sec.265 Recognition of corresponding authorities
The following provisions apply, with any necessary changes, to a corresponding authority under a corresponding law, and to a corresponding authorised operation under that law, as if the corresponding authority were an authority given under section 243 for a controlled operation—
section 256 (Effect of authority);
section 257 (Defect in authority);
section 258 (1) (Protection from criminal responsibility for controlled conduct during authorised operations);
section 259 (Indemnification of participants against civil liability);
section 260 (Effect of ss 258 – 259 on other laws relating to criminal investigation);
section 261 (Effect of being unaware of variation or cancellation of authority);
section 262 (Protection from criminal responsibility for particular ancillary conduct).
