### sec.136 Power to enable effective and safe exercise of other powers
A police officer may require the person in control of an animal pulling a vehicle to give the officer reasonable help to enable the officer to effectively exercise a power under this part in relation to the animal or vehicle.
Also, a police officer may require the person in control of an animal pulling a vehicle, or a person who is on or has just left the animal or is in or on or has just left the vehicle, to do or not to do anything the police officer reasonably believes is necessary—
to enable the police officer to safely exercise a power under a transport Act in relation to the animal or vehicle; or
to preserve the safety of the police officer, the person or other persons.
A person must comply with a requirement under subsection (1) or (2) , unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty for subsection (3) —60 penalty units.

(sec.136-ssec.2) Also, a police officer may require the person in control of an animal pulling a vehicle, or a person who is on or has just left the animal or is in or on or has just left the vehicle, to do or not to do anything the police officer reasonably believes is necessary— to enable the police officer to safely exercise a power under a transport Act in relation to the animal or vehicle; or to preserve the safety of the police officer, the person or other persons.

- (a) to enable the police officer to safely exercise a power under a transport Act in relation to the animal or vehicle; or
- (b) to preserve the safety of the police officer, the person or other persons.
