### sec.119 Voluntary transfer of ownership of motor vehicle to State
This section applies to a motor vehicle that is—
impounded under this chapter and held at a holding yard; or
a motorbike the subject of an application for an impounding order or a forfeiture order, released to the owner of the motorbike before the application is decided.
Despite another section of this chapter, the owner of the motor vehicle may agree to transfer ownership of the motor vehicle to the State.
The agreement must be written and witnessed by a person who may witness a statutory declaration.
If the commissioner agrees in writing to the transfer of the motor vehicle—
the following end—
the impoundment period for the motor vehicle;
the application for the impounding order or forfeiture order; and
the motor vehicle becomes the property of the State; and
the commissioner may sell or dispose of the motor vehicle and anything in or on it in the way the commissioner considers appropriate.

(sec.119-ssec.1) This section applies to a motor vehicle that is— impounded under this chapter and held at a holding yard; or a motorbike the subject of an application for an impounding order or a forfeiture order, released to the owner of the motorbike before the application is decided.
(sec.119-ssec.2) Despite another section of this chapter, the owner of the motor vehicle may agree to transfer ownership of the motor vehicle to the State.

(sec.119-ssec.4) If the commissioner agrees in writing to the transfer of the motor vehicle— the following end— the impoundment period for the motor vehicle; the application for the impounding order or forfeiture order; and the motor vehicle becomes the property of the State; and the commissioner may sell or dispose of the motor vehicle and anything in or on it in the way the commissioner considers appropriate.
- (a) impounded under this chapter and held at a holding yard; or
- (b) a motorbike the subject of an application for an impounding order or a forfeiture order, released to the owner of the motorbike before the application is decided.
- (a) the following end— (i) the impoundment period for the motor vehicle; (ii) the application for the impounding order or forfeiture order; and
- (i) the impoundment period for the motor vehicle;
- (ii) the application for the impounding order or forfeiture order; and
- (b) the motor vehicle becomes the property of the State; and
- (c) the commissioner may sell or dispose of the motor vehicle and anything in or on it in the way the commissioner considers appropriate.
- (i) the impoundment period for the motor vehicle;
- (ii) the application for the impounding order or forfeiture order; and
