### sec.283 Guideline-making power
The Minister or chief executive may make guidelines about—
the matters a person must consider when performing a function under this Act; and
another matter the Minister or chief executive considers appropriate for the administration of this Act.
The Minister or chief executive must consult with the persons the Minister or chief executive considers appropriate, before making a guideline.
The Minister or chief executive must notify the making of a guideline by a notice published in the gazette.
The guideline starts to have effect on the day after the notice is published.
(sec.283-ssec.1) The Minister or chief executive may make guidelines about— the matters a person must consider when performing a function under this Act; and another matter the Minister or chief executive considers appropriate for the administration of this Act.
(sec.283-ssec.2) The Minister or chief executive must consult with the persons the Minister or chief executive considers appropriate, before making a guideline.
(sec.283-ssec.3) The Minister or chief executive must notify the making of a guideline by a notice published in the gazette.
(sec.283-ssec.4) The guideline starts to have effect on the day after the notice is published.
