### sec.263D Costs of taking land under s 263A
Before land is taken under section 263A , a person may enter into an agreement with the chief executive about the costs of taking the land.
The agreement may require the person to give a guarantee or provide security to the chief executive for the costs.
If the person does not pay to the chief executive the costs of taking the land in accordance with the agreement, the chief executive may recover the costs from the person as a debt owing by the person to the State.
In this section—
costs , of taking land, includes—
operational, administrative and legal costs; and
any compensation payable under the Acquisition Act for the taking of the land.
