### sec.18 Evidentiary provisions
This section applies to a proceeding under this Act.
A signature purporting to be the signature of the chief executive is evidence of the chief executive’s signature.
A certificate purporting to be signed by the chief executive and stating any of the following matters is evidence of the matter—
on a stated day, or during a stated period, a stated name appeared, or did not appear, in the Gazetteer as the name of a place;
a document is a copy of the Gazetteer or a copy of part of the Gazetteer;
the boundaries of a place that has an approved name.
(sec.18-ssec.1) This section applies to a proceeding under this Act.
