### sec.799 Notice and taking effect of decision
If the relevant official makes a decision under section 798 , the person must after making the decision give an information notice about the decision to—
the holder; and
for a petroleum authority—any other person who holds an interest in the authority recorded in the register.
Generally, the decision takes effect on the later of the following—
the day the holder is given the information notice;
a later day of effect stated in the notice.
However, if the decision was to cancel or suspend the authority, the decision does not take effect until the end of the appeal period for the decision.
