### sec.740 When inspector or authorised officer ceases to hold office
A person who is an inspector or authorised officer ceases to hold office if any of the following happens—
the term of office stated in a condition of office ends;
under another condition of office, the person ceases to hold the office;
the person’s resignation under section 741 takes effect.
Subsection (1) does not limit the ways the person may cease to hold the office.
In this section—
condition of office means a condition on which the person holds office.
(sec.740-ssec.1) A person who is an inspector or authorised officer ceases to hold office if any of the following happens— the term of office stated in a condition of office ends; under another condition of office, the person ceases to hold the office; the person’s resignation under section 741 takes effect.
(sec.740-ssec.2) Subsection (1) does not limit the ways the person may cease to hold the office.
(sec.740-ssec.3) In this section— condition of office means a condition on which the person holds office.
- (a) the term of office stated in a condition of office ends;
- (b) under another condition of office, the person ceases to hold the office;
- (c) the person’s resignation under section 741 takes effect.
