### sec.692 Site safety manager
If the safety management system for an operating plant requires a site safety manager for a site at the plant, the operator of the plant must appoint an appropriately qualified person as the site safety manager for the site.
Maximum penalty—500 penalty units.
The chief inspector may give the operator of an operating plant a notice directing the operator to, within a stated reasonable period, appoint 1 or more appropriately qualified persons as a site safety manager for—
a stated site at the plant; or
a stated activity at a stated site at the plant.
The operator must comply with the notice.

More than 1 person may be appointed as a site safety manager for a site at an operating plant.
