### sec.579 Notice and taking effect of decision
On approval of a surrender, the applicant must be given notice of the decision.
A surrender takes effect on the day after the decision is made.
The applicant must be given an information notice about—
a decision to refuse to approve a surrender; or
a decision to approve a surrender subject to the applicant’s written agreement to the Minister amending the petroleum authority in a stated way.
However, subsection (3) does not apply for an amendment mentioned in subsection (3) (b) if the applicant has agreed in writing to the amendment.
(sec.579-ssec.1) On approval of a surrender, the applicant must be given notice of the decision.
